Special report - Has PH1 leaked?

Blackpool air gets a new fresh message

Farmers against fracking

UK news highlights

The main stories

Lancashire opposition to fracking was shown in the air, with a flypast over Blackpool and Preston, and at Lancashire County Council, where Fylde farmers turned up with their tractors to state their opposition to Fylde farmland being fracked.

Opposition to fracking is mounting in the UK regions. After the disappointing Scottish "No" vote, Scottish politicians vowed their determination to fight Westminster over its plan to change fracking trespass law and determine their own shale gas future.

In Northern Ireland Tamboran's Fermanagh fracking licence expired and was not renewed. Tamboran now plan to seek legal redress.

In Wales a planning application by UK Methane (one of the cowboy Gerwyn Williams companies) was rejected by Neath Port Talbot council, to the satisfaction of campaigners against the plans.
